Snowflake photomicrographs from December 14 and 15

The snow began falling around 7:00pm Friday December. 13, 2013. I was hopeful there might be some good flakes in this storm. The temperature was forecast to be 12-16 F. As you will see, it was a great weekend. By Sunday morning, 10.5 inches had accumulated

Friday evening, the temperature at 29 was just too warm for my environment. I still had to try :(

8:30am there were only "needles" available to photograph

8:30am there were no flakes, only needles

By 1:00 pm, my luck changed and there were some really nice flakes.
