Global Hospitality Rotation

Spend spring semester at RIT’s global campus in Croatia and study hospitality and management on the Mediterranean coast. Get a first hand look at how luxury tourism creates entrepreneurship opportunities and positive impacts for local and global economies.

The hospitality and tourism management major, the Global Hospitality Rotation option offers a one-semester, specialized experience for students to gain a global perspective of hospitality practices in an international setting. Students are prepared to lead in multi-national hospitality companies and develop hospitality concepts for guests from around the globe.

About the Global Hospitality Rotation

Your studies begin at RIT's main campus in Rochester, NY. You will then spend the spring semester of your second year at RIT Croatia, studying in Dubrovnik, a medieval seaside port on the Adriatic Sea. Dubrovnik, situated on the southern coast of Croatia, is known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic” and a modern cruise ship port. It also boasts many cafes, winding cobblestone streets, old city neighborhoods, and served as a main filming location for HBO’s hit drama Game of Thrones.

In addition to course work at RIT Rochester and RIT Croatia, your study abroad experience also includes a range of professionalized experiences in both cities, including

company visits and tours

networking events

mentorship opportunities

professional skill-building workshops

At all RIT's global campuses, courses are taught in English and the English language is widely spoken in these countries. All course work completed during the semester abroad count toward your degree in hospitality and tourism management.
