PCs and Laptops

It is not recommended for students to purchase a PC/Laptop for their first year of classes as the lab computers contain all the tools required to complete assigned coursework. This also lets the student determine what they would like to use as they traverse the campus. Example a desktop in the dorm and a lightweight laptop for notes, etc.

If you would still like to purchase a laptop or desktop, each department has specifications that will assist you with your decision.

Note: Apple computers with M1 or M2 processors will not work due to difficulties with virtual machines meant for x86 processors.
