Payment for Camp Tiger may be considered as summer childcare expenses; the RIT K-12 University Center Tax Exempt number is: 16-0743140.
Refund and Cancelation Policies
Much of the cost to operate Camp Tiger is incurred prior to the camp session beginning, therefore the $75 administrative fee is non-refundable, even for reasons beyond control, and the camp is unable to operate this summer.
RIT Pre-College Programs, Camp Tiger is not liable if it cannot operate due to circumstances beyond its control, such as weather, sickness outbreak, power outage, disaster, or any situation that would impact camper and staff safety. Camp Tiger is not obligated to refund any camp fees due to these circumstances. Families will be notified immediately if a closure occurs through email.
All cancellations must be received by May 31st to be eligible for a full refund (minus the non-refundable $75 administrative fee).
From June 1st to ten days prior to the camp session families may receive 50% refund, minus the $75 non-refundable administrative fee. (Example: Camp Session starts on July 27th, to be eligible for 50% refund camp must be notified before July 17th to be considered for the refund. Withdrawals from camp made on or after July 17th will not receive a refund.)
For students who find out they are required to attend summer school in late June, contact the Camp Director and they will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for any possible refunds.
Less than ten days prior to the start of the camp session, or no shows for camp, are not issued a refund for the session.
Low Enrollment Cancellations
Camps program sessions that don’t meet the minimum enrollment requirements are subject to cancellation. Campers impacted by cancelled programs will be offered a transfer into another Camp Tiger program that week or any other week for the season if available or receive a full refund.
Attendance
Absence Policy
Please notify camp by email or phone if a camper is going to be absent, requires late arrival or early pick up during the day. Camper drop-off and pick-up takes place at the campus homebase building. The authorized pick-up person must show picture identification and sign in or out the camper.
Camp Tiger cannot pro-rate fees or offer refunds for missed days due to camper absence. Unfortunately, no absences can be made up by attending another camp or different day.
Pick-Up and Drop Off
All authorized pick-up people need to show picture identification for staff to release campers.
This is for the safety of the children and families we service.
No child is released to unauthorized people, and the primary contact will be notified to address any concerns. Families that need to add or modify authorized pick-up people may do so in the Ideal Logic camp registration portal or notify camp personnel.
Early and Late Pick-Up
Camp Tiger no longer offers before-care or after-care services for camp families.
If the camper’s authorized drop-off or pick-up adult has an unforeseen emergency, they should contact an alternative person for transporting the camper and notify camp staff immediately.
Any campers who are dropped off on campus prior to 8:15am or have not been picked up after 5pm are charged a $25 fee. There are no staff scheduled to be on duty to supervise campers for early or late care posing a safety issue. If a camper has not been picked up by 5:30pm and administrative staff are unable to reach the family or emergency contacts, RIT Public Safety and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office will be notified.
