She obtained her master’s degree in Psychology and Neuropsychology of Cognitive Disturbances from the University of Aix-Marseille in France in 2009. Her studies focused on understanding cognitive impairments and their impact on individuals.

In 2012, Mariel completed her Ph.D. at Aix-Marseille University, where her research explored how people select the best strategies during normal and pathological aging. From 2009 to 2016, Mariel also worked at the Hospital of the Instruction of Armies (HIA of Laveran) in Marseille. In the Neurology department, she conducted neuropsychological assessments for both older adults and soldiers, contributing to the understanding of cognitive functioning in these populations.

In addition to her clinical and research work, Mariel developed her own practice, providing cognitive assessments and proposing procedures for cognitive rehabilitation. Her aim was to help both young and older adults improve their cognitive capacities and enhance their daily lives. In

2019, she founded NeuroPsy.Co, offering neuropsychology consultations from her office in Saint-Cannat, France.

In September 2021, Mariel joined RIT Kosovo (RITK) as an adjunct lecturer, teaching Introduction to Psychology. Currently, she holds a full-time position as a Mental Health Consultant at RITK. Since October 2022, she has also been conducting neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents who are registered at ILG and the French International School of Prishtina - EFIP.
