The RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) Development Department successfully organized the highly anticipated Alumni Homecoming event, gathering more than 300 alumni. This event represents RIT Kosovo (A.U.K)’S dedication to fostering a strong sense of community and recognizing exceptional contributions.

The Alumni Homecoming kicked off with opening remarks from the Chief Development Officer, Ms. Teuta Avdimetaj and continued with a welcome message from Dr. Kamal Shahrabi, President of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) - who emphasized the transformative power of education and encouraged alumni to leverage their knowledge and experiences to drive positive change in their communities.

The Biberaj Foundation Inc. has awarded fourteen (14) scholarships to the third cohort of students for the academic year 2023/24 to obtain a Bachelor’s degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Kosovo/American University in Kosovo Foundation (“RIT Kosovo (A.U.K”). The Biberaj Foundation Inc. have pledged a $1.16 million fund to support a total of 40 scholarship awards, granted over four years, to students with strong academic records and demonstrating financial need. In the previous two cohorts 26 students were awarded this scholarship, while this year’s group fills the total number of awardees to 40 students.

Fidan Hallaqi (BS ’08) is an accomplished entrepreneur and a proud graduate of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K). Since his graduation in 2008, he has made significant contributions in various fields, including business consultancy, international development projects, and more recently, entrepreneurship.

Throughout his career, Fidan's passion for innovation and his unwavering commitment to creating a positive impact on his community have been driving forces throughout his career. He actively participated in numerous international development projects in Kosovo through the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) for over a decade.
