Bio
Shqiponje is a dedicated Senior Academic Advisor at RIT Kosovo, where she leverages her extensive experience to support students in navigating their academic journeys. She has also served as a facilitator of the RIT 365: RIT Connections class at RIT Kosovo. Shqiponje has been awarded the Transformational Leadership Program scholarship to pursue her master studies and she earned her MBA in Finance at Saunders College of Business at RIT New York.
Before joining RIT Kosovo, Shqiponje held several positions in a commercial bank, enhancing her financial expertise and understanding of the banking sector. She also earned an Accounting Technician Certificate from the Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors Kosovo (SCAAK). Her passion for education and community development is evident in her project work, particularly as a researcher in the STEFORA Project funded by Erasmus+, which focuses on enhancing STEM education and gender inclusivity. Additionally, she serves as the project leader for the GRL PWR Science Fair project, funded by the US Embassy in Prishtina, aimed at inspiring high school girls to pursue careers in STEM fields.
An advocate for social change, Shqiponje holds a Social Change Leadership Certificate from the RIT Leadership Institute and Community Service Center, reflecting her commitment to helping others and fostering community development.
She loves spending time in nature, especially around mountains and rivers. In her free time, Shqiponje enjoys playing volleyball, hiking with her family, and biking. She is also a fan of lifelong learning and recently completed an introductory Python Programming course at the AUK Training and Development Institute. With her wide range of interests and experiences, she brings a lot to both the academic and local community.
