RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) in Prishtina, Kosovo, is seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated full-time instructor to teach Computational Information Technology (CIT) courses for the start of the 2022/23 academic year. Computational Information Technology (CIT) Faculty

This position requires a PhD in Information Technology or a related field. The appointed faculty will be required to teach undergraduate courses in Database and Data Modeling, Programming for IT, Computer System Fundamentals, Client and Server-Side Programming, Routing and Switching, etc.

Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in the English language and teaching or studying experience in an American university environment.

RIT KOSOVO (A.U.K)

Job Profile – Key Field Expert (project based)– Full-Time Position

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is looking for a full-time Key Field Expert to join the new BRIDGE Program Team. The BRIDGE Program “English Language for Cross Cultural Communication in Six Municipalities” is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo and implemented by the RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) Training and Development Institute (TDI). The main goal of the BRIDGE project is to promote the English Language as a common language to stimulate interethnic collaboration in the social, academic and professional areas – thus strengthening Kosovo’s socio-cultural cohesion and tolerance, academic collaboration, economic prospects and international integration of its youth and future generations of leaders, thinkers and doers. This project will support around 200 youth in six regional program sites through delivery of a strategic mix of ten (10) interactive Training Modules designed to stimulate inter-ethnic communication and collaboration among Kosovo’s youth.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage the delivery of field activities with students (visits to “maker spaces”, innovative technology labs, etc.) as set forth in the BRIDGE program;
  • Oversight of the delivery of workshops and training sessions;
  • Support coordination with BRIDGE’s partner in the US mainland – Iowa Sister States agency for the delivery of the “pen-pal” activity;
  • In coordination with Project Manager, support regional project partners in recruiting and retaining beneficiaries, support and supervise regional partners’ outreach, promotional and informational activities with beneficiaries’ parents and respective general communities;
  • Coordinate and schedule field visits/tours and other related activities with private sector regional leaders, as per the program’s implementation plan;
  • Oversee development efforts of program materials to support experts and trainers in deploying program activities;
  • Work closely with the project partners and all project stakeholders to ensure management of daily operations and related responsibilities of beneficiaries;
  • Assist in testing, evaluating and counseling students regarding their performance and goals;
  • Collect feedback on classroom performance and support Trainer Coordination to ensure positive and meaningful student experience;
  • Monitor and Evaluate project activities, report on milestones and on performance/quality assurance key performance indicators;
  • Support project beneficiaries and team members on all project-related matters as requested by the Project Manager;   

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree and a relevant combination of academic and professional experience and qualifications; Candidates with Master’s degrees and/or Project Management Certifications will be given preference;
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Kosovo; insight and expertise with Kosovo’s private sector industries is an advantage;
  • Experience: Proven experience in designing and developing field activities with youth; insight on challenges facing Kosovo youth with regards to interethnic collaboration in Kosovo economies and labor markets;
  • A Valid Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required; Proficiency in Albanian and/or Serbian language are strongly preferred.

Job Profile – Campus Admin Assistant – Full-Time Position

The Campus Admin Assistant reports directly to the President’s Office/HR Office, and is primarily responsible for welcoming visitors to RIT Kosovo (A.U.K), recording their arrival in an accurate manner, and dealing with general enquiries from the public. He/she is also responsible for maintaining the reception area, to include updating the display of information regarding schedules for classrooms and other meeting rooms on a daily basis. In addition, the Campus Admin Assistant is responsible for Archiving, Data Entry and Student Dorm Management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors and direct them to the designated department
  • Answers the RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) main telephone, dealing with general enquiries from the public, and transfers calls and messages to members of faculty and staff as appropriate;
  • Receives, sorts and processes incoming mail and deliveries and arranges for onward distribution;
  • Maintain the MRM for classes and faculty apartments reservations; coordinates with Academic Services and any other Departments to ensure that all information shown on the information screen is coorect regarding classroom and meeting room schedules;
  • Co-ordinates with security personnel to ensure that the visitor’s book is available at all times;
  • Provides ongoing customer service support
  • Maintains the reception area ensuring that it is clean and tidy at all times;
  • Produces a hardcopy of classroom and meeting room scheduling on a daily basis;

  • Prepares and sorts documents for data entry. Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems. Verify data by comparing it to source documents. Update existing data and retrieve them from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Archives all original documents, data and records, memorandums, transcrips certified after verification, student, personel, faculty files and records. Archives all documents in appropriate and locked protected room. Prepares all archived documents to be boxed and labeled with the title, departament name, box number, reference/protocol number, the archiving date. Maintains and updates a record of archived documents electronically.
  • Randomly inspect the dorm rooms, student check-in and check-out, makes sure that all contracts with the students accomodated in the dorm are signed and maintained appropriately
  • Keeps the “Lost &Found” stuff and distribute further
  •  Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Profile – Project Manager – Full-Time Position

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is searching for a highly skilled Project Manager to contribute to RIT Kosovo (A.U.K)’s growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The Project Manager role is a key part of the university’s new Strategic Projects Office Team, reporting to the President of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with the Sponsor Program Coordinator, the Project Manager will supervise, support and help lead projects through all stages of the project management cycle;
  • The Project Manager will support the Sponsor Program Coordinator and project teams in identifying activities, schedules, scopes, budget requirements for various initiatives, and for preparing project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Monitor and manage projects’ implementation progress and track achievement of milestones, outputs and outcomes;
  • Create systems/databases to collect, store and report qualitative and quantitative data on key performance indicators as required by donor mechanisms, for all on-going projects at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K).
  • Support relationships management with a wide range of stakeholders across RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) departments to ensure that the project’s time, budget and quality objectives are met.

Job Profile –Full-Time Admission Advisor

The Admission Advisor reports directly to the Dean of Enrollment and is primarily responsible for a wide-range of activities pertaining to recruitment and admission, as well as to provide other support needed to the Admissions Department of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K).  The incumbent is responsible to develop and coordinates student recruitment programs to enhance student enrollment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Admission advice and support to prospective students and parents
  • Understands and communicates effectively University’s academic and scholarship programs
  • Assist in developing and coordinating student admission and recruitment programs
  • Assist in administering and implementing the university recruitment program, which includes student recruitment and admission to the university and evaluates its effectiveness, recruitment of students, high school relations, and outreach activities
  • Uses Capsule Customer Relations Management System to establish tracking of potential student enrollment and high school visits schedules; identifies, collects, and analyzes data to assist in decisions relative to recruitment goals;

Job Profile – Full-Time Psychologist

The RITK Kosovo (A.U.K) Psychologist reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students and is primarily responsible to provide the Mental Health Services combined with the number of services to deliver holistic support for students, including:

  • Student Mental Health – Provides individual support frameworks for students presenting with mental health issues and provides practical advice and guidance to faculty and staff on identifying and making appropriate referrals for students with mental health concerns.
  • Disability and Dyslexia Support – Providing assessment of needs for students with disability, dyslexia or other learning difficulties along with practical support for students to ensure that disability does not create an obstacle in learning.
  • Student Counselling – Provides counselling sessions to students dealing with immediate crisis or longer-term difficulties affecting their life in general or RITK life specifically and provides a wide range of group workshops.

Overall Purpose:

To provide effective and integrated counselling and psychological services to RITK students by delivering:

  • Clinical assessment, counselling and other related forms of assistance to students
  • Consultations for students, staff, faculty of the RITK and in some cases - parents
  • To provide training, guidance and support to staff and faculty of the RITK on matters concerning student mental and emotional wellbeing.
  • Active involvement in service development and in improving policies and practices within the RITK
  • To develop and deliver psychoeducational group programs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert short-term counselling/psychological therapy to students presenting to the service, both individually and in groups.
  • Provide professional clinical assessments and make appropriate decisions regarding the potential course of action for students.
  • Contribute to a same-day mini appointment service for students.
  • Take a lead role in developing and delivering psychoeducational group programs.
  • Deliver training in the areas of mental health and wellbeing for RITK staff and students and to create and deliver presentations and workshops to a range of audiences at across the RITK to raise awareness of the service and appropriate referral mechanisms.
  • In collaboration with the Dean and other colleagues, contribute to the development of RITK strategies, policies and practices, which ensure a healthier learning and working environment for students and staff.
  • Be responsible for providing an informed opinion and/or verifying students’ circumstances to academic colleagues and external funding bodies in accordance with the RITK and funding-agencies regulations and service Code of Confidentiality and Management of Personal Information.
  • Work within the ethical framework of RIT Kosovo and follow RIT guidelines for good practice. Additionally, to adhere to the specific ethical frameworks according to professional registration within the Kosovo mental health and public health laws and regulations.
  • Pursue continued professional development opportunities and actively participate in professional associations in order to maintain licensure and also ensure increased knowledge base, self-awareness and enhanced skills.
  • Maintain appropriate electronic and written records of students, including session notes and records of contact with other relevant parties. Ensure confidentiality.
  • Routinely monitor and review casework to ensure compliance with professional ethics and standards, and take responsibility for deciding when to involve management in order to address difficult ethical dilemmas or exceptionally complex cases.
  • Organize and prioritize caseload, taking into account students’ needs and any urgent action required.
  • Organize and prioritize availability for student appointments, same-day mini-appointments sessions, and workshops, ensuring an appropriate service level is maintained at all times.
  • Understand the RITK’s obligations and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the writing and production of a range of publications and guidance for students and staff, including material for print and online channels, to ensure the availability of relevant and accessible information on a range of student wellbeing issues.

Knowledge/Qualifications
Essential:

  • A degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent professional qualification
  • Doctorate in Counselling or Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • A specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) preferred
  • Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist from the Ministry of Health in Kosovo

Job Profile – Full-Time Webmaster Administrator

The Webmaster Administrator has primarily responsibility to direct RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) online presence while projecting a vibrant, qualitative, brand-aligned voice across all digital platforms. The Webmaster Administrator works closely with all departments and defines the standards for website appearance, structure and content. The Webmaster Administrator reports to the PR Manager and provides strategic direction and leadership for web-based project management, content management, processes, and software selection.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) websites and other digital presences are functional, user-friendly, visually pleasing, and up to date;
  • Building and executing website and social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification;
  • Fulfill all webmaster roles, from design and development to implementation, management and maintenance of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) websites;
  • The incumbent will ensure RITK web presence engages participants, alumni, donors, partners, and other allies
  • Develops the technical architecture of websites including scripting, database design, and user interface design
  • Conceptualizes the graphical interface of the division’s websites and utilizes software tools to integrate graphical concepts
  • Ensures the integrity of all code and links
  • Gathers feedback from management and users regarding the division’s websites and makes appropriate modifications and enhancements to attract repeat users
  • Analyzes traffic to the websites and recommends any necessary programming changes
  • Coordinates with the IT Department to maintain backup recovery procedures
  • Researches new tools for managing websites and integrates new technologies as appropriate
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action;
  • Setting up and optimizing pages within each platform to increase the visibility of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) social content;
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices and then acting on the information;
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions;
  • Coordinate work with graphic design students and campus community
  • This individual will remain current in and utilize digital trends to maximize engagement of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) constituents;
  • Stay abreast of current events and trending topics and act quickly to leverage and provide appropriate commentary when relevant and necessary via social media and blogging channels;

Qualifications and working experience:

  • University degree in computer science
  • Experience in Drupal and WordPress
  • Working experience in web development and webmaster support; site planning and layout of web applications, websites, and web related services and technology utilizing dynamic and static web interfaces using HTML, DHTML, VB Script, Java Scripts, and Cascading Style Sheets, Designing, developing and supporting web content with Blogs, newsfeeds, audio and video and social networking services
  • Familiarity with web standards, web design and development, IT Security, working knowledge of website management tools and knowledge of inter-browser/cross-platform compatibility
  • Proficiency in search engine optimization best practices and online marketing
  • Good knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Knowledge in graphic design is preferred
