The RIT Peace and Conflict Summer Program was one of my best university experiences! This program allowed me to experience so many unforgettable opportunities from traveling around the Balkans to meeting with human rights activists to learning about conflict management from experienced professionals. I met so many wonderful people and made so many good friends on this program. There is no better way to learn about Kosovo's unique and rich history and culture. My classes on conflict management and international human rights allowed me to deepen my knowledge of topics such as post-conflict democratization, project management, and transitional justice. I learned so much from my professors and peers who were always willing to have thought provoking discussions about Kosovo's future and the field of international development. My participation in this program inspired me to pursue a Fulbright grant in Kosovo after I graduated from the University of Maryland and I am now living and working in Pristina as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant for a year. This program is definitely a life changing opportunity!
