Cynthia Cook, Deputy Political Economic Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina Guest Speaker at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K)

On May 2, 2024, RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Cynthia Cook, Deputy Political Economic Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, as a guest speaker in the Rhetoric of Terrorism Class taught by Ms. Teuta Avdimetaj, Adjunct Professor at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K). Ms. Cook is an experienced Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. State Department who previously served as Director for Israel and Palestinian Affairs at the U.S.

National Security Council. During her insightful presentation, Ms. Cook engaged the students in a lively discussion about the role of diplomacy in combating terrorism, and the intersection of extremism with issues of human rights, democracy, and international cooperation.
