Dr. Robert Muharremi Publishes Two Scholarly Articles on Political and Legal Developments in Kosovo
RIT Kosovo faculty member Dr. Robert Muharremi has recently published two scholarly articles examining political and legal developments related to Kosovo.
His article “Autocratic Legalism in Kosovo? Democratic Backsliding under the Vetëvendosje (LVV)” analyzes recent developments in Kosovo’s political system and explores concerns about democratic backsliding through the framework of autocratic legalism. The study examines how legal and institutional reforms may affect democratic governance and constitutional checks and balances.
Dr. Muharremi has also co-authored the article “Delegitimising ‘War-Wing’ Parties in Kosovo by (Special) Court Decree – Critique of the Liberal Peace Framework in Its Pursuit for Transitional Justice,” which examines how transitional justice mechanisms and international legal processes can influence political developments and post-conflict peacebuilding dynamics in Kosovo.
The articles contribute to academic discussions on governance, constitutional law, and transitional justice in post-conflict societies, particularly in the context of Kosovo and the Western Balkans.
