RIT Kosovo Welcomes Drita Perezic as New Faculty Member

RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Drita Perezic as a new faculty member, teaching Intro to International Relations and Terrorism & Political Violence. 

Ms. Perezic holds an MA in International Relations with a specialization in International Security and Human Rights from the City College of New York, and a BS in International Trade and Marketing from the State University of New York. She brings over 25 years of international security sector experience across the Balkans, Europe, and the United States. 

She has served in senior roles with the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, ICITAP, as an advisor to Kosovo’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Police Inspectorate, and with NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR), where she served as Senior U.S. KFOR Political Advisor among other roles. In addition, she has worked as a consultant and lecturer for the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Civil-Military Relations, Leader Development and Education for Sustained Peace Program and U.S. Joint Training Centers in Europe and the U.S. participating in training programs for both civilian and military leaders. 

Ms. Perezic’s service has been recognized with numerous high-level awards, including: 

  • Legion of Merit Medal – Republic of Kosovo 
  • U.S. Army Commander’s Awards for Public Service and Superior Civilian Service 
  • State of California Military Department Medal of Merit 
  • U.S. Department of State Certificate of Appreciation 

She has also received several distinguished honors from Kosovo’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Inspectorate, and Ministry of Defense and is currently an External Advisor on National Security Sector Development to the President of the Republic of Kosovo via BPRG. 

At RIT Kosovo, Ms. Perezic will integrate her global expertise into the classroom, helping students understand international relations, security policy, and governance challenges in real-world contexts.
