RIT Kosovo Welcomes Egzon Sadiku as New Faculty Member
RIT Kosovo (A.U.K.) is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Egzon Sadiku as a new faculty member.
Mr. Sadiku has completed the International Master in Adult Education for Social Change within the Erasmus Mundus Joint Degree program, studying at the University of Glasgow, the University of Malta, Tallinn University, and the Open University of Cyprus. He also earned a double major in Studio Art and Philosophy at Macalester College in Minnesota, USA.
His artistic work spans digital and film photography, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and bookmaking, while his academic and professional research has explored education systems from a historical perspective, teacher professional development, and diaspora engagement. He has also contributed to multi-stakeholder education initiatives in Scotland, evaluating academic placements and developing operational systems in social work education.
Reflecting on his teaching philosophy, Mr. Sadiku noted: “Teaching should not be viewed as a transfer of information and an instrument for reinforcing conformity. For me, it is about facilitating a process of co-creation among students while they strive to disclose the world and their place in it.” He hopes to bring this learner-centered approach to the classroom at RIT Kosovo, encouraging students to think critically and creatively while engaging collaboratively with complex ideas.
At RIT Kosovo, Mr. Sadiku brings this international and interdisciplinary expertise to the classroom. His teaching philosophy emphasizes that education is a co-creation of knowledge between teacher and student, with critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration at the center of the learning process.
