RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) Alumni Driving Growth at Microsoft

Petrit Kelmendi (BS ’09) works at Microsoft where he plays a pivotal role in defining growth strategies, product business models, and pricing for various Microsoft Power Platform products, including the launch of new generative AI features.

He is passionate about pricing and has been a featured speaker at numerous pricing-focused conferences, including the upcoming "For Big Pricing Wins" conference by the Pricing Professional Society in Dallas, Texas. Petrit is also a co-founder of the Pricing Academy, which empowers North American pricing talent to achieve their full potential and transform their companies into profit powerhouses.

Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked as a Pricing Consultant for Bain & Company, where he advised Fortune 500 companies across multiple continents and industries ranging from industrial to consumer products. Some of his most cherished experiences at Bain & Company include working across the United States, Mexico and, most memorably, India, where he witnessed firsthand the impactful work of Mother Teresa and was reminded of the good deeds that Albanians have done across the globe.

Petrit credits RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) for shaping his career and providing him with invaluable opportunities. As a student delegate at the university's convocation and commencement ceremonies, he delivered a speech right after former President Bill Clinton. The leadership opportunities and unwavering support from the RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) community enabled him to co-found BIG Advertising company with fellow RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) students Norik Uka, Adem Gashi, and Ergys Bruci at the age of 20.

This subsequently led to a Fulbright Scholarship and a Master's program in Public Policy at George Washington University, where he was inducted into the Pi Alpha Alpha national honor society. Petrit then returned to Kosovo to work for Deloitte Central Europe, which enabled him to learn from some of the best business leaders in the region, including Afrore Rudi and Olindo Shehu.

After a few years at Deloitte, he pursued an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis on a full tuition merit-based scholarship. Following the completion of his MBA studies, Petrit began working at Eastman Chemical Company, where he was first introduced to the world of pricing, as part of their Commercial Leadership Development Program.

Our alumni like Petrit demonstrate the exceptional quality of education and preparation they receive at RIT Kosovo, which helps them succeed in their careers worldwide.
