Sezgin Avci began his academic journey at RIT Kosovo in 2010 and graduated in 2014, an experience that laid the foundation for both his personal and professional growth. Shortly before graduation, he joined Seawings in Dubai as a Graphic Designer, where he worked closely with world-class creative professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In 2017, he continued his career by joining PECB in Canada as a Creative Designer. His dedication, curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement led to a promotion to Senior Creative Designer. During this time, he worked on a wide range of international projects, contributing to creative strategies and visual executions that were published and used worldwide.
In 2021, Sezgin joined Ptera Technologies as a Senior Creative Designer, where he was entrusted with increasing responsibilities and opportunities to make meaningful contributions. In 2023, he was promoted to Design Team Lead, a role in which he manages and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of up to six professionals, including UX/UI designers, creative designers, and animators.
His work spans digital, print, branding, and animation, and he continues to contribute to the launch of multiple products while providing creative direction, mentorship, and support to team members and junior designers beyond his immediate workplace.
RIT Kosovo played a transformative role in shaping his academic direction, professional mindset, and long-term career path. The institution offered an inclusive and multidisciplinary learning environment that encouraged exploration and self-discovery during his early years of study. Through exposure to a wide range of subjects, he was able to better understand his interests, strengths, and values before confidently committing to a career in media and graphic communications.
The combination of modern technology and dedicated faculty members helped nurture his growing passion for design and media. RIT Kosovo emphasized collaboration, communication, and problem-solving, allowing him to work alongside peers from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. These experiences helped him grow not only as a creative professional but also as an individual prepared to navigate real-world challenges.
The soft skills he developed, including teamwork, leadership, and professional ethics, proved essential as he transitioned into international work environments and later into managerial roles. RIT Kosovo helped prepare him for the realities of the global job market, instilling confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility. Today, these foundations allow him to lead teams, mentor others, and contribute meaningfully to creative communities while striving to create impactful and thoughtful work.
