Two New Senior Staff Members
TEUTA AVDIMETAJ
CDO – Ms. Teuta Avdimetaj has been selected as the new Chief Development Officer at RIT-Kosovo. She will officially begin working with us in the second week of April.
Previously, Teuta served as a Senior Researcher at the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies, a think tank contributing to security sector development and reform in Kosovo and Western Balkans through research, analysis and advocacy.
Before that, Teuta worked as an External Adviser at the Ministry of European Integration and as a Policy Adviser to the former President of the Republic of Kosovo, H.E. Atifete Jahjaga. During this period, she worked on policy issues related to foreign policy, national security, and women’s empowerment. She developed and nurtured partnerships with other public institutions, civil society, and the international community in Kosovo. It is worth highlighting that she co-led the organization of the events marking the historic “20th Anniversary of NATO’s Intervention in Kosovo”. Moreover, Teuta has been consulting several international organizations on security-related projects, including the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), CIJA US, etc. In 2020, she also completed a Visiting Fellowship at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT).
Teuta holds an M.A. Degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a B.S. Degree in Economics and Public Policy with highest honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology - Kosovo. Through years of experience in various roles in the public sector and as part of civil society, she developed a deep sense of commitment to bettering Kosovo’s society - viewing education as one of the critical tools for development and sustainable peace.
FATON RAMADANI
CFAO – Mr. Faton Ramadani started working with us on March 15, 2022, as the new Chief Finance and Administration Officer.
Faton is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics and holds a master's degree in Management and Informatics, he attended a second master's degree in Banking, Finance, and Accounting and he has graduated in the field of Information Technology.
Faton has an excellent background in Finance, Risk Management, and IT which has proven effective management in a complex banking environment.
He has working experience as a senior management staff in the banking sector for many years as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Previously, he used to work in different positions such as Risk Management Supervisor, Credit Monitoring and Reporting Senior Officer, IT Manager/Trainer, and Administrative Specialist. He has contributed to Kosovo Banking Association as Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee and Risk Management Committee.
He is skilled in financial modeling, IFRS, and risk management with in-depth knowledge of data management tools and software.
