Two Years of Impact: STEFORA Reaches a Transformative Milestone

After two years of dedication and extraordinary collaboration between RIT Kosovo, Linnaeus University, IBC-M, POLIS University, Maynooth University, and the European University of Tirana, we are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the STEFORA Project  a major step forward in strengthening STEM education across the region.


Two Years of Achievements

Capacity Building & Academic Development

  • 9 workshops with STEM stakeholders in Kosovo, Albania, and Sweden.
  • 3 teaching modules and a comprehensive handbook, all developed in three languages.
  • 8 course syllabi/assignments reviewed as part of advanced training activities.
  • 4 institutional STEM strategies developed across partner institutions.
  • 12 institutional workshops on STEM best practices held in partner institutions, benefiting 150+ participants.
  • 14 academic staff exchanges across six partner institutions.

Training, Webinars & Conferences

  • 3 expert webinars benefiting more than 70 participants from partner institutions.
  • 3 advanced training events benefiting over 70 academic and administrative staff members.
  • A STEM Innovation Conference organized with more than 80 participants.

Publications & Resources

  • A Best Practices Report published in three languages.
  • An Editorial Report produced in three languages.
  • A joint publication produced in three languages.
  • A STEFORA brochure created in three languages and distributed at the conference and online.
  • Creation of a STEM Observatory and a STEM Expert Network.

Visibility, Networks & Partnerships

  • Presentations of STEFORA results at two international educational conferences.
  • 4 cross-institutional Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed.
  • 3 media articles about STEFORA published in Kosovo and Albania, plus one live appearance on Kosovo National TV promoting STEFORA activities.
  • Establishment of the WiSTEM student club, with RIT Kosovo faculty mentoring.
  • Partnership with the EU STEM Coalition.
  • Inclusion of STEFORA in the Scientix Projects Repository.
