Hardin awarded discovery grant
Jessica Hardin, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, has been awarded a $299,000 (AUD) Discovery Grant from the Australian Research Council as a co-investigator with colleagues from LaTrobe University. The project is titled “Pacific Healthcare: Transforming research, policy, and practice.” Focusing on crises of trust related to type 2 diabetes and COVID-19 interventions in the Pacific, this collaborative project aims to examine the social and cultural dynamics of medical (mis)trust in Vanuatu, Fiji, and Samoa.
