The core curriculum is taught by nationally recognized faculty and includes data analytics, business intelligence, information systems, and corporate social responsibility and business ethics. These classes deliver foundational knowledge across all areas of business. MBA core courses are built upon a solid foundation to give students the skills and confidence to succeed in rapidly evolving technology workplaces. Students graduate being able to make data-driven decisions for their employer as skills in information systems and data analytics are in every field of business.

RIT’s globally recognized colleges in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) disciplines provide students with the unique opportunity to pair these courses with their business education. Students have the ability to customize their master’s education and use elective courses by accessing graduate courses across all nine RIT Colleges, providing endless opportunities. International students enrolled in the program can qualify for a 24-month work extension to their Optional Practical Training (OPT) period, allowing for up to three years of work in the United States.

Flexible scheduling options are available to fit career objectives and enhance personal brands, with full-time and part-time options. Traditional full-time students can complete the program in as little as two years to optimize free electives and pursue a paid cooperative opportunity. Part-time is designed for the working professional looking to advance their current position or create a new career. MBA graduates position themselves for higher earning potential and career advancement through a combination of specialized and transferable skills and knowledge.

Our Accelerated 4+1 MBA program is available to non-RIT and partner schools that meet the full admissions requirements. Accelerated waiver details include:

  • Receiving a “B” grade or better in courses reviewed for waivers
  • Option to waive up to 6 total core MBA courses
  • Courses for waivers taken within five years of matriculating into the MBA program
