RIT Kosovo`s COVID-19 dashboard is a source of information for our university community to remain updated on the most accurate data related to campus during the pandemic. We begin the semester with a high vaccination rate among the RIT Kosovo Staff and Faculty: 97% of the body has completed their vaccination. Unvaccinated students, faculty, and staff are to complete PCR tests as per the Government instructions.

RIT Kosovo Community most important measures to follow as per Governments Decision

Pursuant to the government decision of January 22, 2022, these are the most important measures that must be followed by our community:

  • Wearing a mask covering the nose and mouth is mandatory in all cases. The entrance in closed spaces without wearing a mask is prohibited
  • All public and private institutions are obliged to keep hand sanitizers and a quantity of masks in accessible places, at the entrance of the building as well as inside
  • Public and private institutions are obliged to place a visible sign of the rules for protection from COVID – 19 at the entrance of each building, including the sign prohibiting entry to the building without masks, as well as respecting the distance of one (1) meter and promotional signs for vaccination according to the design of the Ministry of Health
  • Each public and private institution is obliged to complete the disinfection of the premises and ventilations of indoor spaces
  • The curfew restriction is enforced from 10 pm through 5 am
  • Gastronomy services are allowed to work from 5 am until 9.00 pm, with the capacity of 50% of the indoor spaces, while in open spaces it is allowed to use up to 70% of the space capacity. The delivery services are allowed to operate after 9.00 pm, upon obtaining special permits from government and strict hygiene measures for the vehicle, orders and staff
  • All public and private institutions are obliged to work only with essential staff until February 4, 2022
  • Any person entering Kosove by air or land must possess one of the following evidences:

a)    Vaccination certificate with the (3) doses (or with one dose of Janssen vaccine and booster dose) against COVID–19;

b)    Certificate of vaccination with two doses (or one dose of Janssen vaccine) against COVID–19, together with a negative RT-PCR test for COVID – 19, not earlier than 48 hours before departure (for air passengers) or 48 hours before arrival at the border crossing point (for those entering by land).

  • Citizens of RKS, including those with temporary or permanent residence permit that don’t have the above-mentioned evidences, needs to self-isolate for 7 days from the entry into the territory of the Republic of Kosove
  • As of January 22, through February 4, 2022, all employees and students in public and private institutions must have one of the above-mentioned evidences in order to be allowed to enter the building of the institution. The person of the highest level will assign a member of staff who will be responsible to check on one of required evidences as mentioned above
  • All public and private institutions of all levels of education are prohibited from organizing extracurricular activities, such as excursions, group walks, various parties of teaching staff or students
  • Gatherings in close environments are allowed up to thirty (30) persons (workshops, meetings, seminars, trainings or other gatherings) with the physical distance of 1 meter in between the participants and check the relevant evidence as mentioned above
  • Gatherings in open spaces are allowed up to 50 persons (public) with the physical distance of 1 meter between persons and the presentation of evidences as mentioned above
  • Using public and international transport without a mask is prohibited. Passenger road transport operators are allowed to work using 50% of the seating capacity. Up to two (2) passengers are allowed to travel in a taxi. Public transport staff and passengers must posses any of the evidence, as mentioned above, in order to be allowed to operate, respectively travel on public and international transport
  • Libraries, museums, cinemas, theaters, youth centers, cultural centers with groups or other similar subordinate institutions, are allowed to work using 30% of the capacity of space/surfaces of the respective facilities, provided that the public is seated in a chair. It is obligatory to keep the mask and physical distance of one (1) meter between the persons. The users of the activities must possess any of the evidence, as mentioned above
  • Fitness centers, gyms and other institutions for public use for sports and recreational activities are closed, with the exception of professional sports clubs

 In addition, all our admin staff is considered as essential staff, therefore we will continue with our admin services as usual and at the same time by following strict protective measures as initiated by our government.

  • Each public and private institution is obliged to complete the disinfection of the premises and ventilations of closed spaces
  • The curfew restriction is enforced from 10 pm through 5 am
  • Gastronomy services are allowed to work from 5 am until 9.30 pm in open spaces only and with the capacity of 70%. The delivery services are allowed to operated after 10 pm, upon obtaining special permits from government
  • All public and private institutions are obliged to work only with essential staff until September 12, 2021.
  • Pregnant women are released from being physically at work
  • Any person entering Kosove by air or land must present a completed COVID – 19 vaccination certificate or one dose of vaccination, PCR test done in the last 72 hours or a positive serological antibody test result issued no less that 30 days before to your arrival in Kosove, antigen rapid negative test not older than 48 hours. Citizens of RKS, including those with temporary or permanent residence permit that don’t have the above mentioned evidences, needs to self-isolate for 7 days
  • As of September 13, 2021, all employees in public and private institutions must have one of the above mentioned evidences. The person of the highest level will assign a member of staff who will be responsible to check on one of required evidences as mentioned above
  • Gatherings in close environments are allowed up to 30 persons (workshops, meetings, seminars, trainings) with the physical distance of 1.5 meters in between the participants
  • Gatherings in open spaces are allowed up to 50 persons with the physical distance of 1.5 meters

In addition, all our admin staff is considered as essential staff, therefore we will continue with our admin services as usual and at the same time by following strict protective measures as initiated by our government.
