RIT Kosovo Participates in APEL-WB Study Visit and Consortium Meeting

From 22 to 25 September 2026, APEL-WB activities took place at the University of Akureyri in Iceland, combining a study visit and training on prior learning assessment with a consortium meeting.

The training on 22 and 23 September focused on the principles, process and role of Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) in higher education. Participants explored APEL procedures, portfolio preparation, assessment methods and quality assurance. Practical sessions included reviewing a mock candidate’s portfolio and preparing questions for an assessment interview.

The consortium meeting, held on 24 and 25 September, covered project updates and upcoming work. Discussions included the next steps for WP2 and its needs analysis, the work of the Quality Meeting Committee, dissemination activities and future project events.

The activities provided an opportunity to develop practical understanding of APEL and coordinate the project partners’ ongoing work.
