Training new talents for the ICT sector - RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) TDI - GIZ

About the TechUp project

The Employment Tech Up project addresses a skills gap identified by an analysis conducted by the association STIKK of ICT companies in Kosovo. The findings of their analysis show an ever-growing demand for highly skilled ICT workers. Together with the American University in Kosovo - Training and Development Institute (AUK TDI), the TechUP project was launched in Kosovo with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government. The project goal was to address youth in order to create a pool of highly skilled programmers, while increasing employment in the ICT market in Kosovo through professional training and internships. The target audience were university students or recent undergraduates with degrees in ICT, and high school students in the last year of their studies.

    CIT-RITK Team's Collaborative Research Visit at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, Austria

    The CIT-RIT K Team recently undertook a collaborative research visit to St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in Niederösterreich, Austria on April 8, 2024. This visit featured a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering academic exchange and innovation. Prof. Alexander Adrowitzer, the Academic Director of Digital Innovation and Research at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, extended an invitation to the CIT-RITK Research Team. Led by Professor Debabrata Samanta, the team included two exceptional students, Dea Tahiraj and Dijar Hashani, from the Department of Computer and Information Technologies (CIT).
