During their third year at RIT, the pair unexpectedly enrolled in the same partner-based sound recording classand worked together on a quarter-long project. The assignment provided a golden opportunity to learn more about each other while exploring the Rochester region.

When RIT students create video games, they don’t just mail it in. A team of students recently won the Grand Prize at GameFest 2025 for developing Pelican Post. The game is about a pelican mailman delivering mail to a small town of unique characters.

JamieLynn Gallagher '25 cared more about kerning than any kid she knew growing up. Her innate eye for creative detail can be traced to her mother, who also graduated from RIT's College of Art and Design. JamieLynn continued the family's design legacy and will work for a Syracuse-based agency after graduation.
