Bio

Toby plays a key role in the leadership and strategic oversight of the university's sponsored research activity. Overseeing the team responsible for the fiscal and compliance monitoring of RIT's sponsored program portfolio, he helps ensure that the team serves as a trusted research to the faculty and staff conducting this work. He also serves as the primary point of contact for audits related to these programs, interacting directly with internal and external auditors during the conduct of their work. He also has oversight of the university's Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and the receipt of those funds.

Toby holds a Bachelor of Science from St. John Fisher University, with a dual major in Accounting and Corporate Finance. He went on to receive his Master of Business Administration at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Managerial Accounting emphasizes identifying and applying common techniques used by organizations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, improve profitability and control costs, among others. The course focuses on understanding how managerial accounting is used to help organizations achieve their goals.
