Students Rona Hoxha and Korab Jashari, along with faculty members Dr. Debabrata Samanta and Prof. Xhavit Gashi, recently shared their research and experiences on a live program on RTK channel in Kosovo. The discussion centered around their participation in a prestigious seminar held in India, where the students presented their research on emerging technologies and the impact of their cultural background on their academic pursuits. Dr. Samanta, who facilitated the seminar in India, expressed his pride in the students' achievements. He noted that Rona and Korab were selected as speakers from among 45 participants representing various countries. Their presentations not only focused on their research in artificial intelligence and global warming but also provided insights into Kosovo's culture and the supportive environment fostered by the university. Rona and Korab acknowledged the challenges they faced during their research, including limited resources and time constraints. However, they emphasized the importance of teamwork, support from Dr. Samanta and Prof. Gashi, and their own unwavering dedication. These factors, they said, were instrumental in their success, which included publishing chapters in Dr. Samanta book “Climate Change and Its Impact on Mental Health and Wellbeing” and participating in a cybersecurity competition.

Both Rona and Korab expressed their desire to contribute to Kosovo's growth and development through technological advancements and by empowering other students with a passion for technology. Dr. Samanta and Prof. Gashi echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of fostering a supportive environment for students and researchers, encouraging collaboration, and pursuing impactful research. While currently focused on collaborating with the RIT Kosovo, Rona and Korab expressed openness to future collaborations with stakeholders and government entities.
