STEM-Designated MBA at the Intersection of Business and Technology at RIT

Saunders College of Business’ STEM-designated master of business administration (MBA) resides at the intersection of business and technology. With a background in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), it best prepares students for today’s business environment. Flexible scheduling offering students part-time or full-time options alongside customizable schedules attunes the program to each individual’s professional goals. Classes additionally cover information systems, covering how to collect, store, analyze, and manage huge amounts of data and data analytics, acquiring the skills necessary to work with that data to make intelligent business decisions.

Recognized among the Best MBA Programs of 2023, Abound MBA cites programs that meet “the essential needs of the non-traditional student—accessibility, affordability, acceleration, and advancement.” Also recognized by Bloomberg Businessweek among their Best Business Schools and MBA programs in 2023-24, the Saunders MBA program ranks #37 in diversity and #44 in learning, and #75 overall.

Flexible scheduling gives students the option of completing the program in the standard two-year curriculum. Undergraduates can opt for an accelerated +1 MBA program, receiving two degrees in five years using specific undergraduate courses to waive select core MBA classes.

MBA vs. Executive MBA

Mid-to-upper-level professionals that want to hone in on their business skills, and have seven or more year’s experience, may prefer the executive master of business administration (EMBA). This 15-month program completed over four semesters is a cohort-based program, meaning curriculum is taught with a group of peers throughout your time. The program offers two styles of the program, on-campus on alternating Fridays and Saturdays or completely online for 17 months. The Saunders online EMBA is ranked #9 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report MBA Programs 2023, and #34 among the top 50 MBA programs by the Princeton Review 2023.
