A licensed architect in D.C., MA, ME, NY, PA, and VA, and Principal of Chait Studios, Mr. Chait specializes in adaptive reuse and preservation. He is a noted abstract watercolorist merging artistic and color composition applications with architecture.
Professor Chait’s academic approach is to balance theoretical and computer applications with real world expectations. One result of which has been for him to be in demand to teach watercolor techniques and methods workshops to licensed architects throughout New York State.
A past president of AIA Rochester and former board member of AIANYS, Professor Chait is a recipient of several local and AIANYS Design awards. He was honored with both the AIA Rochester Medal of Distinction and the AIANYS Matthew Del Gaudio Service Award in 2007.
