The Institute for Interdisciplinary Innovation (I3) is a hub for innovative thinking, collaboration, and the advancement of interdisciplinary education in the humanities and social sciences.
Programs and activities presented by the I3 are multidisciplinary, transformative, and future-proof, designed to equip grads for a lifetime of success in an ever-changing world. It is home to three undergraduate programs and RIT Center for Worldbuilding and Storytelling.
Our interdisciplinary undergraduate curriculums combine global awareness, humanistic study, and technological innovation to prepare you for a changing world. You will gain adaptable skills to explore new opportunities across industries worldwide, while developing strong foundations in computing, design, and digital tools for today’s careers.
Through the study of culture, identity, gender, and sexuality in society, technology, and the arts, you will deepen your understanding of people and systems and learn to apply that knowledge in meaningful ways. The programs emphasizes critical thinking, cultural insight, and professional flexibility to help shape both your career and your worldview.
