Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists may now take enrichment courses online through a partnership between RIT/NTID and Continued.

Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf is partnering with online learning platform Continued to host professional development courses for audiologists and speech-language pathologists now through spring 2026.

The courses will be facilitated by members of RIT/NTID’s Communication Studies and Services department and will be available in the course libraries for Continued’s AudiologyOnline.com and SpeechPathology.com.

RIT/NTID’s CSS staff will present 15 live professional development webinar-style courses to an audience of audiologists and speech-language pathologist professionals. After the live presentations, the recorded course presentations will remain in Continued’s libraries for an anticipated five years, so that additional professionals may also enroll for asynchronous completion.

RIT/NTID courses will debut live on AudiologyOnline.com or SpeechPathology.com, and most of the courses will be available on both sites as applicable after the initial live courses are completed. Five of the 15 courses to be presented by RIT/NTID CSS professionals currently posted are:

·   SLP Essentials for Non-SLPs, presented by Kristen Starin, MS, CCC-SLP

·   Working with ASL Interpreters, presented by Vanessa Murphy, AuD, CCC-A

·   Audiology Essentials for Non-Audiologists, presented by Carly Alecia, AuD, CCC-A

·   Supporting Neurodiverse and Deaf Neurodiverse Individuals, presented by Haley Boring, MS, CCC-SLP

·   Apps for Access: Bridging Deaf-Hearing Communication, presented by Bonnie Bastian, MS, CCC-SLP

A membership to Continued will be required to obtain CEU credits. To register, go to the Continued website and search “Audiology” or “Speech Language Pathology” professions, then select the “RIT/NTID” course topic to filter courses and see current offerings.
