Accelerated Bachelor’s / Master’s Degrees

RIT offers dozens of combined bachelor’s and master’s degrees – all designed as accelerated pathways where you can earn two degrees in less time than it would normally take to complete bachelor’s and master’s separately.

What is an accelerated bachelor’s/master’s degree?

Accelerated bachelor’s/master’s degrees are for undergraduate students with outstanding academic records. You can apply to a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree at the end of your second year of study. Upon acceptance, you’ll work with an academic advisor to map out your course work so you can begin graduate courses before completing your bachelor’s degree. You’ll graduate with two degrees – and a competitive advantage.

6 Reasons Why
Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s Degrees
Prepare You For Success

Save Time and Money
An accelerated dual degree is an investment in your career. You’ll complete both degrees in less time and at a cost savings.

Increase Your Earning Potential
More educational credentials – and the experience and knowledge that comes with them – often means higher starting salaries and more earning potential over the course of your career.

Diversify Your Education
Add an MBA to your engineering degree or an arts education master’s to your design degree. Pair any of RIT’s dozens of bachelor’s and master’s degrees to pursue your professional interests in more depth.

Enter the Workforce with a Graduate Degree
Earn a master’s degree now and sidestep returning to school later when you’re more likely to be balancing a full-time career, family commitments, and other personal and professional responsibilities.

Greater Career Advancement
A master’s degree shows a commitment to your field and an investment in gaining the knowledge you need to succeed, setting you up for outstanding job opportunities and career advancement.

Expand Your Professional Network
Relationships with graduate faculty, hands-on research, projects with industry partners, and co-ops and internships all build your network and open the door to exciting career opportunities.

BS/MS and BS/ME Programs

These combined bachelor's and master's degrees illustrate the many academic paths that lead to an accelerated dual degree. Because students must apply while they are in the second year of their undergraduate program, you will find information on curriculum, course requirements, and more on the BS program page.
