Team presents on teaching STEAM with deaf students

Maddie Schreiber and Danny Biland, graduate students in the secondary education of students who are deaf or hard of hearing program, presented “Integrating the Arts in STEAM: Maximizing Academic Achievement for Deaf Learners in All Settings” with Visiting Assistant Professor Scott Gentzke at the California Educators of the Deaf 2022 conference on Oct. 1 in Burbank, Calif. The trio discussed ways to utilize the arts to support learning achievement for deaf students in STEM-related disciplines.
