SLPI:ASL Training Services

Available through the NTID Sign Language Assessment and Resource Center (NSLARC)

NSLARC offers comprehensive SLPI:ASL training for schools for the Deaf, vocational rehabilitation programs, nonprofit organizations, and other institutions interested in providing in-house SLPI interviews and ratings.

This training equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to conduct and rate Sign Language Proficiency Interviews (SLPI:ASL) with integrity and consistency. Training is facilitated by two experienced NSLARC-certified trainers and includes both theoretical foundations and hands-on practice with guided feedback.

Training Eligibility

Participants must hold a minimum Intermediate Plus rating on the SLPI:ASL scale to enroll in the training program.

Training Cost

$8,000 total for two trainers

This fee does not include the cost of lodging, meals, and transportation, which must be covered by the host organization.
