Job Information
The Controller is responsible for overseeing, preparing, and managing CSD’s financial, accounting and
reporting activities. The Controller leads day-to-day finance operations including functional responsibility
over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grants administration. The Controller will
ensure that CSD has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation,
minimizes risk, and appropriate response to internal and external audits. The Controller will work closely
with program leaders and staff, educating team members on finance and accounting procedures, and
exploring how the finance function can support program operations.
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Strong project management skills, including analysis, planning, prioritization, and attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work with and manage a diverse virtual team across various payroll & benefits accounting functions while collaborating with employees and managers across various organizational departments
Excellent time management and organization skills
Excellent writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate complex information
Ability to demonstrate the values of the organization and champion CSD’s products, services, and support of the global community
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office products, including advanced-level proficiency in MS Excel
