| Job Description | Essential Responsibilities - Create a welcoming environment that fosters community and learning among program participants while interacting with a diverse population. Key Competencies: Deaf and International cultural awareness, knowledge, and sensitivity; Effective receptive and expressive communication skills appropriate for engaging with internationally diverse Deaf individuals; Organization and planning skills; Interpersonal and networking skills, Writing and presentation skills; Decision-making and problem-solving skills, Instructional technology, and curriculum utilization skills. Key Expectations: Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; Residing within Monroe County is highly preferred. Possess own mobile phone with ISP plan; Flexibility in working hours and availability for occasional work during the weeknight and weekend. Status: Part-time, Hourly & Nonexempt, Reports to Education Coordinator. Hourly pay range: $35 to 45. | Requirements | Education and Experience: BA/BS with 2 years in teaching or related field preferred. Subject matter experience strongly preferred. Must demonstrate native-like fluency in American Sign Language. Experience working with language-deprived populations is helpful. |
