Community Interpreting Staffing Coordinator
Part-time

Summary
The Community Interpreting Staffing Coordinator interacts with customers via telephone or videophone to intake new assignments, troubleshoot problems in the field, and provide logistical assistance to the SCIS team. The coordinator will work closely with Account Managers to schedule assignments for existing customers. They will also answer incoming customer service calls and will report comments and complaints to the appropriate manager. The coordinator will provide support on processing customer invoices as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Answer incoming telephone and/or videophone calls
-Ask pertinent questions to determine the parameters of interpreting assignments
-Input assignments correctly into scheduling software
-Interact with Account Managers and Directors of Interpreting to ensure appropriate interpreters are scheduled for assignments
-Provide superior phone service to all customers
-Receive customer compliments and complaints
-Provide information on SCIS policies and protocols as needed
-Accurately process invoices as needed, keeping detailed records
-Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Required

-Fluency in American Sign Language
-Demonstrated understanding of community interpreting
-Demonstrated skills in customer service interactions
-Highly organized and disciplined, including ability to prioritize well and maintain productivity with minimal oversight
-Ability to follow directions and orders in all assignments given, keeping focus on priorities while progressing all tasks to completion
-Working knowledge of basic computer functions, including experience working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
-Ability to work in a dispersed team environment
-Excellent communication skills, including written English
-Trustworthy with proprietary company information, keeping such information in strict confidence
-Able to work in the following environment:

-Physical Demands
-Able to sit/ stand for a long period of time in an office environment
-Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components
-Must be able to travel, including having reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
-Regular and predictable attendance required.
-Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.
