NTID AI Task Force

The NTID AI Task Force brings together faculty, staff, alums, and external stakeholders to help shape the direction of NTID and the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the AI space.

The task force convenes regularly to discuss the future of AI and make recommendations for how NTID can lead the way in application of AI for classroom tools, academic programming, research, and employment, and provide guidance on how AI impacts deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Areas of focus:

  • Teaching and curriculum for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Experiential aspects of AI embedded in deaf and hard-of-hearing student success
  • Research, scholarship and innovation to support deaf-centric AI, accessible technology, and AGI (artificial general intelligence) and its impact on deaf and hard-of-hearing careers and lives
