Bio

Miranda serves as a Senior Employment Advisor for the NTID Co-op and Career Center. She is responsible for supporting Engineering students and alumni with co-op and job search, teaching lifelong skills in effective job search, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, accommodation requests and self-advocacy, and workplace soft skills. Miranda also works with employers to help connect students and alumni with employment opportunities, and provides employers with information on effective strategies and accommodations to make the recruitment and employment processes comfortable for both the students and the employers.


Miranda holds an associate degree in Humanities and Social Science, a bachelor's degree in Community and Human Services, and has completed a Work Incentives training through the Cornell Yang Tan Institute. She also served on the New York State Rehabilitation Council from 2020 to 2021. Prior to joining NTID, she worked as a Career Services Advisor/Ticket to Work Coordinator at a One Stop Career Center from 2013 to 2021, and as a special education Paraeducator from 2007 to 2012.
