Kurz, Sahetapy, and Reyes present at Deaf Tech Conference

Christopher Kurz, professor; Suryo Sahetapy, lecturer; and Ruth Reyes, lecturer, all in the Department of Deaf Education, gave a paper presentation, “Teaching the Teachers: A Self-Study of AI Integration in Deaf Education Teacher Training,” at the Deaf Tech Conference in Vienna, Austria, on May 26. Kurz also presented a paper, “Deaf-Led, Technology-Supported Early Literacy: preliminary findings from Project TREE across Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines,” at the conference with his country team leaders, Michael Vea, Krishneer Sen, and Noah Agino.
