Please see your academic advisor if you feel you need to withdraw from a course.
The Department of Homeland Security does not condone this for any international student. Additionally, Visa regulations state that students need to "make normal progress" toward their degree. Therefore, delaying degree progress by withdrawing from a course once the semester has started may jeopardize your scholarship, financial aid, student loans, and student visa (if any or all are applicable to you).
Yes, according to Visa regulations your final class can be online if you are also enrolled in an in-person co-op (in the US) for that term.
No, regardless of which term is your final term, the final course needs to be in-person/hybrid.
International students can work on-campus, up to 20 hours per week, starting their first semester. Available positions can be found through Career Connect.
Graduate assistantships may be available to matriculated students who are enrolled full-time (9 cr hr or more) in a graduate program at RIT. Typical assistantships are for one academic year – September through May.
You are only eligible to work off-campus after maintaining your student status for one full academic year. All off-campus work must be within your area of study and requires approved work authorization prior to working. Working outside of this authorization is a serious violation of student status. Please consult ISS before participating in any form of off-campus employment.
