2016 Fram Student Event: _Thinking Critically: "The complexity of climate change_

Guest:Dr. Lu_s A. N. Amaral, Professor of Chemical & Biological Engineering, Northwestern UniversityClimate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. It also exemplifies in dramatic fashion the complexity challenges faced by modern society: How does one demonstrate significance of an issue to stakeholders with different incentives? How does one identify and solve technical challenges? How does one identify and solve societal challenges? How does one balance consequences that can occur on very different time scales? This event is targeted at RIT undergrads but open to all. Come join an interactive discussion led by our Fram speaker, Dr. Luis Amaral. Refreshments provided, preregistration required.
