AAUP Social @ Lovin' Cup
We are re-launching AAUP @ RIT with a social gathering in Park Point. Enjoy free appetizers and refreshments in an outdoor setting, shake off that pandemic year, and welcome the fresh start to this academic year! All faculty (full- and part-time, tenure-track and non-tenure-track), post-docs, and graduate student employees are invited. Faculty are welcome to forward this invitation to post-docs and graduate student employees in their circle. AAUP Membership is not required. *Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to attend and are requesting an interpreter.
We would appreciate a few minutes of your time to answer two brief questions in our anonymous Qualtrics survey, to generate discussion topics during this social event.
A loose agenda for the meeting is below.

American Association of University Professors
Our goal is to provide to RIT faculty an organized voice through which to discuss concerns and communicate issues.
An honest effort is made to serve the interests of all, without hostility toward any.
All are welcome! We are not a union or attempting to unionize. We are an advocacy group.
The mission of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is to advance academic freedom and shared governance; to define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education; to promote the economic security of faculty, academic professionals, graduate students, post‐doctoral fellows, and all those engaged in teaching and research in higher education; to help the higher education community organize to make our goals a reality; and to ensure higher education's contribution to the common good.
