Alfred L. Davis Public Service Awards Ceremony

Throughout history, RIT's leaders have shown a strong commitment to both the Institute and the community. Their legacies of leadership and service are celebrated in the Alfred L. Davis Public Service Awards.

The Four Presidents Distinguished Public Service Award is presented to a staff or faculty member who through their public service has been not only an outstanding professional but also a caring member of the community. This year's recipient is Matthew Reynell, Assistant Director, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in Enrollment Management.

The Bruce R. James '64 Distinguished Public Service Award is presented to a student for exemplary public service in the wider Rochester community. Its purpose also is to encourage other students to engage in public service. This year's recipient is Maduka Gunasinghe, Senior, Biomedical Sciences in the College of Health Sciences and Technology.

Each recipient will receive an award commemorating their outstanding record of service. In addition, a gift will be made in each recipient's name to the community or campus organization of their choice.
