April Meeting on Grant Sustainability Plans and Open Community

Funders are not only requiring the grant funded work to be open, they’re starting to look to sustainability plans to address building community and outreach to make that work sustainable. For example, the NSF has a new solicitation to support building “Open Source Ecosystems” (https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2022/nsf22572/nsf22572.htm) around Open Source Scientific Software and Chan Zukerberg has released its 5th for Biomedical Software (https://chanzuckerberg.com/rfa/essential-open-source-software-for-scien…).

Its expected the grants in the humanities and other areas will follow suit.

Open@RIT can help with writing those sections and, if desired, support that work if funds are awarded.
