RIT/NTID's ASL Lecture Series presents Deaf Life in Germany: An Exploration on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 1 to 2 p.m., featuring Andreas Bittner, lecturer, Humbolt University, Berlin, and chairperson, Berlin Association of the Deaf.

The presentation will cover:

  • Recognition of sign language in Germany,
  • The education system,
  • Cultural life in the Deaf community,
  • Legal entitlements, especially for interpreting services 
  • Organizational structure of Deaf associations.
