BIPOC Empowerment in Health Care and Biomedical Science Workshop

Deaf Hub presents the BIPOC Empowerment in Health Care and Biomedical Science Workshop to discuss different resources, take networking opportunities, and find support. This workshop is led by LeeAnne Valentine, MS, MFT, Deaf Hub’s Director of Representation in Health Care and Biomedical Science and interpreting services have been requested.
The workshop will be split into two parts that allow everyone to attend. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the morning session will be focused on the BIPOC space where BIPOC students will have the opportunity to interact with BIPOC professionals and learn more about their experiences along with finding resources and navigating through the support system who had their back throughout their professional career. The afternoon session starts from 1 to 3 p.m. to give everyone, including interpreters an opportunity to network with each other and learn more about how they can elevate BIPOC students and professionals’ platforms to have their voices heard in healthcare and biomedical fields, including other fields. Lunch will be provided through the RSVP.
All are welcome and BIPOC students are strongly encouraged to come.
Please RSVP by Friday March 7 for catering purposes. Any questions or concerns, contact LeeAnne Valentine.
