Families with Deaf/Hard of Hearing children of all ages are welcome to join us at our fun Science-as-Play Family Day!  Lunch and water are provided.  Lunch options are sandwiches, pizza, Goldfish crackers & chips. This event is part of Rochester Deaf Awareness Week!

Hands-on Activities:

  • See a Brain! (Tablet with 3D Brain Software)
  • Feel a Brain! (Jello Brain Activity)
  • Meet a Deaf Scientist! (Q & A)

Creative Crafts:

  • Color a Brain! (Coloring pages & crayons)
  • Make a Neuron! (Bead & yarn craft)
  • Make a Brain Hat! (Paper brain craft)
  • Create a Brain! (Air-dry clay craft)

Fun Games:

  • Throw a Brain! (Brain toy toss game)
  • "Taste" a Brain! (Jellybean flavor guessing game)
