Breaking Bread Special Edition: Is Technology Ruining Our Lives?
Join us for a special edition of Breaking Bread. This one-time dialogue is designed to provide participants with a space to process a current event or social issue. In addition, we will practice active listening, perspective taking, asking questions and empathy. Registration not required.
This edition's topic will focus on whether or not technology is ruining our lives. Questioning its impact on individuals, groups, institutions, societies and the world.
Sample questions include:
- When is social media too much?
- Does taking away cellphones from young people improve learning?
- Do we really need self-driving cars?
- How are you using AI?
- How do we resolve the tensions of growing AI and its negative impact on poor and working class communities?
