Build-a-Button Workshop, A Center for Worldbuilding & Storytelling Event
Join The Center for Worldbuilding and Storytelling Speaker Series in hosting Professor Dr. Wilson’s Build-a-Button workshop. Partake in an impromptu art interjection! You'll be armed with a craft kit of fiber scraps, felt, thread, and some surprises. You'll need your imaginations to channel the magic and wonder of story into a made artifact from a fictional world of your choice. Come ready to jump into making something truly unique! No prior craft knowledge is required.
Instructional demos on a wide variety of craft skills will be presented for your viewing pleasure. Learn the basics of free-form crochet, granny squares, knot-tying, casting on, and basic knitting. Use your imagination to create artifacts from your world-building project or favorite fictional world. Whether your final product is a button a patch or even a blob, have fun creating.
