Brunch Flyer Oct 16 Religion & Sustainability

Join us for a conversation about the intersection of religion and sustainability. This event will feature an Cooking with Public Safety as our officers demonstrate a recipe for vegan overnight oats. Students can pick up free meal kits from RIT FoodShare on Tuesday and Thursday before the event.

"Brunch" will be followed by a panel discussion on religion and environmental sustainabilities. How can religion lead us towards a more sustainable future? Panelists include:
- Roy Allen from the Rochester Society of Friends (Quakers) and founder of smallMatters Institute, a nonprofit social and economic think tank focused on sustainable gardens, community service, and art projects
- Sean Watson of RIT Pagans and Assistant Director of Residence Life, longtime environmentalist and vegan dad
- TBD (details coming soon!)

The event will conclude with breakout rooms in which students will have the chance to talk with their favorite panelists, ask tons of questions, and learn what they can do in their lives and communities to preserve our precious Earth.
