The School of Communication and the Expressive Communication Center are pleased to host the annual Public Speaking Contest. Open to all majors at RIT, the contest awards prizes for the top three contestants.
1st Place $400
2nd Place $200
3rd Place $100

Call for entries
We invite you to consider the problems and questions confronting our society today, and share how you see the graduates of your major addressing these challenges.

Time limit: 2-3 minutes

Multimedia: One static slide required. No slide transitions, animations or 'movement' allowed.

Entry deadline: March 20. Entries must be recorded in presentation lab (Wallace Library, room 2550) with Expressive Communication Center (ECC) peer consultant. Visit rit.edu/ecc to make an appointment. Ten finalists will be invited to present before a live audience on April 22. Finalists will be notified by email by April 10.

Final round: Wednesday, April 22, 2pm / Magic Spell Studios Wegmans Theater (MSS-2180)

*Contestants must be currently-enrolled RIT undergraduate students.
